Local Spring Break Mission Trip For High School Students

BREAKAWAY WICHITA is an immersive mission trip experience in a local setting. High school students will: broaden their perspective, experience what it’s like on the mission field, and struggle less with the financial aspects of it. Yes, BREAKAWAY WICHITA makes the mission field affordable for our students! No ministry, experience, or lesson can compare to a short-term mission trip in growing a student’s faith. It not only expands a student’s faith but it unites a ministry and fuels a passion for the lost once. Mission trips are a pillar of Ridgepoint Students and we desire every student to go on a mission trip before they graduate. This trip’s goal is to have students breakaway from their normal daily routine to experience something extraordinary in their own community!

How will the trip work?
The purpose of this trip is to offer students experience in the mission field while making it as affordable as possible. Each day everyone will meet at Ridgepoint Church (our home base) in the morning, get divided into teams, and then be sent out to minister and serve in the community. They will make a sack lunch to take with them each day. Then they will return to Ridgepoint in the afternoon. We will all eat supper together and then have a worship session from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The session will include worship , teaching from local pastors and missionaries, and an open mic time where students can hear from each other on how their ministry work went and what they learned from God that day. After the session, students will be sent home to stay in their own beds each night. This gives the greatest opportunity for a good night’s sleep (which is needed) and it keeps the cost low.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ADULT SPONSORS! And we would love to have parents serve alongside their student for this mission trip. If you are interested in being an adult sponsor for the week or just a few days please CLICK HERE. Adult leaders will be free in serving this week because most will have to take away from their work or families so this is our way of saying thank you beforehand. We are looking for ministry sponsors, food prep, set up/clean up crew, and even prayer warriors.
