We desire to create and maintain a safe and clean environment as well as a loving atmosphere for the children in our care. We have established a few 'best practices' to help us be successful and keep us in compliance with adult/child ratio laws set by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. This section contains a condensed version of these 'best practices' and the process for ensuring adequate childcare for your event.
Step 1:
Step 2:
Collect RSVPs for childcare from those attending your event, and keep the nursery coordinator infomred as to the number and ages of children who will need care. THE CHILDCARE REQUEST DEADLINE IS SEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT.
Step 3:
Based on your RSVPs, the nursery coordinator will staff the nursery using paid nursery workers. If additional volunteers are needed to satisfy health department adult/child ratios, the nursery coordinator will let you know, and it will be your responsibility to find additional volunteers. Any childcare needs reported after the deadline will be the sole responsibility of the contact person for the event. CONTACT NURSERY COORDINATOR: Kim Burkett at kburkett@firstmbchurch.org.
