... because we know the world needs Jesus.

The Bible is clear: We're supposed to tell others about Jesus. But how? Maybe you've considered these questions:

Will they label me "intolerant"? What if they get mad or think of me differently? Will our relationship forever be awkward and tainted? What if I say something wrong or stumble over my words?

Especially in the world we live in today, it feels risky to take a stand for God. It takes real courage to share the Gospel with others, and many people feel inadequte or worry they haven't received proper training.

Take a deep breath, and take a step back.

We believe the most effective evangelism happens between friends over time.

You don't need a seminary degree.

You don't have to know all the answers.

If you have friends or family members who are far from God, start by being a really good friend. Listen to them. Be there when they need a hand. Show them unconditional love, especially if others don't.

Don't be pushy or annoying, but as you gain rapport, begin to explain why your faith matters. Mention that going to church is important to you. Share one of your favorite worship songs. Invite them to come to church with you, and buy them lunch afterward. Ask if they have any questions, and be honest with them.

You don't need to preach a sermon or lead a stranger along some spectacular salvation plan. Invest in the relationships you have, and ask God to show you how to be a positive witness to those He puts in your path.
