Tribe: What Brings Us Together

September 22 - October 20 (5 weeks)
Doing life together.  The focus is on the key relationships in our lives.  How to build a great crew.  What does real community look like?  Since the dawn of man, humans have organized themselves in tribes – groups bound by common passions, purposes, and pursuits.  We all have a deep-rooted desire to find our people and our place among them.  Throughout Scripture, God calls his followers to be a tribe unlike any other – one with a decidedly outward, not inward focus.

Twisted: How We Twist The Truth

October 27 - November 17 (4 weeks)
Sometimes we let culture determine what is right and wrong.  Sometimes we get twisted up in false statements and untruths.  This series is all about separating the lies from the truth and confronting the false doctrines that we sometimes accept when we try to live out our faith.

So What's The Difference?

December 8 - December 15 (2 weeks)
What’s the difference between Christianity and the rest of the major religions in the world?  Knowing the difference makes ALL the difference.

21 Day Challenge

It’s been said that 21-days makes a habit.  This series includes a prayer journal and devotional, weekly challenges, and more.  The goal is to make prayer a significant part of their lives and help make prayer real, authentic, and important to their lives.

Our church is moving forward with a new vision in focusing on the younger generations.  With this vision comes a church name change and a multi-million dollar building campaign fora  kids and students center.  This two-week series will challenge the students to part owners of our church like never before with focusing on the two action steps of SHARE & GIVE.

Swipe Right: Dating in the Digital Age

February 23 - March 8 (3 weeks)
Online dating, ghosting, relationship status.  What does it mean and look like dating in the digital world?  How do we find love that will go the distance? How do we avoid sexting, being real in-person and online?

Keep Moving: A Study of the Book of James

March 29 - April 26 (4 weeks)
The book of James is all about taking action with your faith, for moving forward after salvation.  James, the brother of Jesus, challenges believers to follow Jesus consistently through the ups and downs of life while living out what they believe.

Junior High (for Sunday @11:00)

Junior high meets most Sundays from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the junior high room.   Each week we have a talk about a Biblically based and relevant for teenagers.  We try to plan out a whole school year in advance because that builds momentum.  We want both students and parents to know what we are talking about each week.  If you have any questions feel free to contact our junior high director Ryan Kelley at rkelley@firstmbchurch.org.

August 25 - September 15 (4 weeks)
Do you have any friendships you can really count on — the kind of friendships you might call your “lifelines?” God designed us to have friendships we can trust, but God also knew we’d need some help figuring out how to build friendships that are lifelines for each other. In this 4-week series, we’ll look at the kind of friendship Jesus models for us: friendship that lets us be real, gives us a chance to grow, gives us a group when we feel alone, and can even change the world.

The Haves and Have Nots

September 22 - October 13 (4 weeks)
How many times have you compared yourself with someone else today? Seriously — see if you can count. Whether it’s their stuff, their looks, their skills, or their popularity, we can’t help but notice all the things other people have, and how those things compare to all the things we wish we had. But in this 4-week series, we’re going to focus on four things that God has given to every single one of us. You have a past, you have today, you have a future, and you have a family. All four of these things make you valuable and uniquely you.

Us for Them

October 20 - November 10 (4 weeks)
Don’t you just love a little friendly competition? There’s something about being a part of a team that makes you excited to root for “us” and root against “them.” With people and with God, we’re often quick to see others like our enemies, but God invites us to see things differently. In this 4-week series, we’ll explore the stories of Abraham, Jeremiah, Jonah, Isaiah, and more, as we see how the big story of Scripture reveals that God is for us, we’re called to be for others, God is for our enemies, and Jesus proves that God is for us.

November 24 - Dec. 22 (4 weeks)
When you think of Christmas, you probably think about an event — an event that is (hopefully) filled with gifts, food, family, and fun. But what happens when that event isn’t as joyful or peaceful as we wish it were? And is the “event” even what Christmas is about anyway? In this 4-week series, we’ll discover what this season is truly about. It’s about getting ready to receive God’s gift of Jesus, sharing that gift with others, rejoicing in the surprising gifts God gives us, and taking time to enjoy God’s presence.

January 4 - January 19 (3 weeks)

Choose Your Own Adventure

February 2 - February 16 (3 weeks)
Whether it’s a journey to Mordor, The Upside Down, outer space, or wherever Forky ran off to this time, we all love a great adventure story. Maybe that’s because, deep down, we know we’re designed to live an adventure story of our own — and with Jesus, we can. There is no greater adventure than the journey of knowing God more deeply, so in this 4-week series, we’ll talk about for ways we can do that: by spending time with God, spending time with others, sharing our stories, and using our gifts to serve others.

Doubt It

March 1 - March 22 (4 weeks)
We were all designed to ask questions. As toddlers, we constantly asked, “Why?” But as we get older, asking too many questions is often discouraged — especially when those questions are about our faith. But in this 4-week series, we’ll talk about how having questions (and even doubts) about God might not be as scary or as shameful as we thought, because you’re not alone in your questions, God doesn’t shame us for our questions, our questions don’t always get answered, and Godly people can help us with our questions.

Worth It

March 29 - April 5 (2 weeks)

Jesus Is

April 19 - May 10 (4 weeks)
